The next Lifeline Learning program is a Sustainability Weekend Camp, designed to cultivate a shared vision of the environment with which we interact and learn to transform ourselves together with it. This is a theme resonated highly with parents and children within the Lifeline Learning community and beyond, and we have decided to embrace this as our next theme, after the Maker Lab.
Aligned with our learning principles of DISCOVERY, COLLABORATION, IMAGINATION and SELF RELIANCE we will explore 3 sustainability dimensions with hands-on practical workshops:
The Organic Garden: exploring natural cycles from seed to table and getting close to nature
The Sustainable Kitchen: making food with home-grown ingredients and dyes, understanding waste and its impact on our surroundings
The Green Lab: transform natural materials into everyday objects and crafts, working with wood, dyes and metals
The program also includes targeted mindfulness sessions, introducing kids to fun and practical techniques to tune-in with themselves and appreciate the small things around us.
Saturday November 26 and Sunday November 27 with an overnight, at Valdaura Labs.
Enrollment is limited to 12 children between the age of 8-14 years old
